Honda Repair: Recovery Tank, radiator cap, recovery tank

Question
Hi Dave,
I own a 2001 Honda Accord. The level of the coolant in the recovery tank is above the Max level.  I checked it when the engine cooled down and the level looks about the same.  I had the Accord in for service at the Honda dealership about a thousand miles back.  They may have added to the level because the overflow hose was out of the clip that it is mounted on the radiator to hold the overflow  hose in place. Is this anything for me to be concerned about. Thank you in advance.

Answer
Hi Joe, don't worry about the recovery bottle level unless it's below the Add mark. The level will vary with temperature and driving conditions. Also, remember if you need to add coolant, add it to the bottle when it's low.
Never try to remove the radiator cap unless the engine is cold.
