Hyundai Repair: 02 accent, vacuum hoses, waheed

Question
how can i remove engine from manual trans.

Answer
Hi, Waheed.

If you're talking about removing the engine from the vehicle, you've got quite a job ahead of you.  You'll need an engine hoist to do this.

You'll need to disconnect the coolant, fuel, and power steering hoses from the engine.  You'll also need to disconnect the wiring harness and vacuum hoses from the engine.  It'd also be my recommendation to do the following:

1.  Remove the radiator for additional room to work.
2.  Unbolt the compressor from the engine in an attempt to avoid evacuating the air conditioning.
3.  Remove the crank and water pump pulleys to provide additional room for sliding the engine off the transmission.

Lastly, you'll need to unbolt the starter from the transmission, unbolt the engine from the transmission, and remove the engine mount (while supporting the engine with the hoist).  Once done, you should be able to hoist the engine out of the vehicle.
