Hyundai Repair: Factory CD player code Er3, 2006 hyundai tiburon, hyundai tiburon

Question
My 2006 hyundai tiburon factory cd player stopped reading
discs today.  Everytime i put a cd in the player i hear it
registering the disk and can go to track numbers but then it
spits the disc out and gives an Er3 message?  Do i need to
replace the player or is it simply dirty or something else
entirely?

Answer
Most likely, you'll need to replace the radio/CD player, but there are some things to try before we take that step.

Try a relatively new disc that you know works properly in other CD players.  If this works properly in the player, you may have a problem with your disc(s).

Presuming that doesn't work-- and I'm assuming it won't since it seems you've already tried a number of CDs-- reset the radio/CD player.  To do this, remove the cover from the fuse box on the left side of the dash and pull out the yellow fuse holder.  Leave the fuse unplugged for 10 minutes and reinstall.  If this fixes the issue, your problem is (at least temporarily) repaired.  If not, you'll need to replace the radio.
