Hyundai Repair: airbag, flash code, diagnostic system

Question
2001 Hyundai 5door hatch 2.0L 5speed Australian market.
Airbag light stays on when engine is running.I am told that if two (2) ports in the diagnostic plug are joined say by a paperclip a flash code will appear and diagnoses is made possable.If so could you supply details

Hi, Kevan.  Unless you have an air bag diagnostic system that's different than that here in the U.S., you'll need code reader or scan tool that will communicate with the air bag module via the data link connector.  It is not possible to read the code via flashes of the air bag lamp on this vehicle.
