Hyundai Repair: 2001 Hyundia Elantra, hyundia elantra, air intake hose

Question
I have a 2001 hyundia Elantra, that won't start.I just replace battery with a New One,and still won't start. All electrial is working in car. When I put the key in the ignition, and try to start, all the lights come on,and I can hear a clicking sound(most likely the relay),but car will not still start.I am thinking that it may be the starter.I am willing to try to replace, but I need to know where the starter is located(any diagram would be helpful),and what would I have to remove to replace it(to gain access to where the starter is located). This problem of not starting, just started this weekend.Could it also be the starter relay of ignition fuse under the hood?

Answer
There are many issues that could cause the no start issue, the starter being one of them.  The most common thing I've seen on the 2001 Elantra causing a no-crank condition (other than the battery) is a loose terminal at the starter.  Before doing anything else, you might disconnect the battery terminals, check the lug at the starter to be sure it's tight, and then reconnect the battery terminals and make sure they're tight as well.

Keep in mind, however, that your issue could be the starter or anything preventing the proper voltage and current from reaching the starter lug or solenoid terminal.  This could be an issue with the batter cables, ignition switch, or wiring.

The starter itself is located under the intake manifold and is bolted to the transmission.  The easiest method of removal for most do-it-yourselfers will be from the top.  To remove via the top, you'll need to remove the air box assembly and air intake hose.
