Answer
Hi, Chad.  I'm going to include general instructions here because I don't know what vehicle you're working on.

1.  Remove the wiper arms from the linkage.
2.  Unplug the wiper motor.
3.  Remove the nut on the wiper motor shaft and remove the metal bar from the shaft.
4.  Plug in the wiper motor.
5.  Turn on the ignition.
6.  Turn the wipers to low speed and back off.  If the system is working properly electrically, the motor will stop in the parked position.
7.  Turn off the ignition.
8.  Unplug the wiper motor.
9.  Move the wiper linkage so that the arms would be in the down position.  Depending on the setup of the linkage, this will be with the bar that attaches to the wiper motor pointing fully to the left or the right of the car.  You'll need to investigate the linkage to determine which.
10.  Install the bar back on the wiper motor in the position you've determined in step 8.  Do not allow the motor shaft to turn with respect to the bar.  (It's okay if they both turn together.)
11.  After the nut is tightened, plug in the wiper motor.
12.  Turn on the ignition.
13.  Turn the wipers on low speed and turn back off.  (Again, you're putting the wiper linkage in the parked position).
14.  Turn off the ignition.
15.  Reinstall the wiper arms in the parked position.
16.  Recheck your work.  Sometimes things move a little without your knowledge and this procedure needs to be repeated a couple times.
