Hyundai Repair: 2002 Santa Fe alternator removal, drive axle, alternator

While attempting to remove the lower bolt of the alternator, I am hitting the drive axle bracket that mounts to the back of the motor.  How do i move the drive axle bracket to remove the lower bolt on the alternator for the removal?

Hi, Shane.  The lower mount for the alternator is slotted.  Once you've got the belt off, the electrical connectors undone (with battery disconnected, of course), and the top bolt undone, loosen the lower bolt and work the alternator upward out of the slot.
