Hyundai Repair: radio, dome light, clock, alarm not working, 2005 hyundai elantra, hyundai elantra

Question
I have a 2005 Hyundai Elantra. Yesterday the radio, clock, dome light, and alarm stopped working. I don't know what fuse runs the alarm, but the fuse for the radio, clock, and dome light is fine. I also checked all the other fuses in the car and they all seem ok. So what would make all this stop working?

Answer
If this isn't the fuse to which you are referring, check the room lamp fuse.  It's the rightmost fuse in the bottom row of the dash fuse block.

If this fuse is intact, check the power connector immediately to the right of this fuse.  If installed upside-down, the items you mentioned will not operate.  The purpose of this connector is to turn off nonessential items which could drain the vehicle's battery during storage.  The car was shipped to the dealer with this connector installed upside-down, and the dealer, upon doing it's inspections upon receipt of the vehicle, turns the connector right side up.
