Hyundai Repair: electrical on rear brakes system, rear lamps, rear brakes

Hey guys. I have a !999 accent that has been a great relyable car for me. but just a few weeks ago all three of my brakelights stopped working. I still recieve tail light blinkers headlight ect. Ive checked all fuses and bulbs,they are all good. ive even checked my swithch on my brake pedel.Its good to. can you please help on how to get electrical diagram so i can figure this out? and now where do i start? thanks

You can view the electrical diagram for the car at www.hmaservice.com.  You simply need to register for a free account, go to the ETM (electrical troubleshooting manual) section, and select your car (X3 Accent) and the system.

Since we know the other rear lamps still work, we know that the ground lug is still in place and secure.

Presuming everything you've said above is accurate, you've a problem with a wire or electrical connector.  Keep in mind that you'll need to verify both the ground and power sides of the circuit, so it's probably easiest to start at one of the lamps to determine which is missing and then work from there.  For example, if you have no power at the lamp, then check to see whether you have power at the stop lamp fuse, the switch, and down the line in each connector through which the circuit passes.  As you go, you'll be able to figure out the section of wire (or the connector) in which the problem lies.
