Hyundai Repair: 2003 Elantra, jumper cables, fuse box

Question
I have a 2003 Elantra.  Recently my alternator was replaced but now the radio, clock, and overhead interior lights do not work.  All fuses have been checked and seem fine. Is there a reset button perhaps?  Any help?  I hate driving without a radio. . ,

Answer
Check the fuses in the yellow holder in the in-dash fuse box.  These fuses are easy to miss and will cause the symptoms you list.

These fuses, as well as the main fuse in the fuse box under the hood, are frequent victims of shorting the positive battery terminal to ground or attaching jumper cables backward.  Be sure to check this fuse as well; if it is blown, your battery will die again in short order because this fuse being blown will prevent the alternator from charging the battery.
