2003 Hyundai Tiburon’s Automatic Transmission
My daughter purchased this car and about as soon as she did I guess the transmission quit shifting.  It pretty much stays in one gear. I was unaware of it for a while and I suppose she didn’t realize it was not shifting, she thought it shifted really smooth.  I have scanned the car and I at this point do not have the codes, and I have taken it to the dealer to scan the Transmission part as well.  The dealer told my daughter they didn’t think anything major was wrong and that most likely it had a short somewhere, and that about all the help they offered my daughter. I have tried to find a repair manual so I can at least be familiar where different parts are located but I have been unable to find one for this year and model. All and any help would be appreciated. Hi, Tim.  Most likely, it isn't a major issue.  But I'll need to trouble code(s) to advise you how to proceed.  That'll tell us the nature of the problem witnessed by the transmission control module.  

I'm a little confused, though, why we don't know the codes even though the car was taken to the dealer for diagnosis.
