Hyundai Repair: Automatic Transmission Problem, automatic transmission problem, transmission control module tcm

I have a Hyundai Tiburon 2004. When I start driving, the gears shifts without any problem but after sometimes, the gears seems locked on 3rd and remains there. If I stop the engine and start again it will be ok then the same problem arises. I have also noticed that the gear take longer to shift.

Hi, Siddick.  This behavior is consistent with any significant problem recognized by the transmission control module (TCM).  If the TCM sees an issue that makes it difficult to determine the proper gear, the TCM places the transmission in 3rd gear.  To determine the cause, you'll need to read the codes (or have them read) with a reader capable of communicating with the TCM.  If you follow up here with the trouble codes, I can advise you how to proceed.
