Question
how do i repair my front wheel bearing on the passenger side step by step?

Answer
Hi, Crystal.  I'm presuming your Sonata is model year 1999 or newer.  You'll need access to a hydraulic press to do this job.  If you don't have such access, you'll need to find a machine shop which has this equipment so they can remove the bearing from the knuckle and install the new one.

Here is the procedure.
1.  Park the vehicle on level ground and place the transmission in park.
2.  Chock the rear wheels.
3.  Loosen the lug nuts on the right front wheel.
4.  Raise the right front wheel off the ground and support the vehicle with a jack stand.
5.  Remove the wheel.
6.  Remove the brake caliper from the knuckle and allow to hang.  Do not loosen the brake line.
7.  Remove the brake rotor.
8.  Remove the steering knuckle.  This will involve removing/disconnecting the axle nut, outer tie rod end, ball joint, strut, and if equipped, the upper control arm, speed sensor, and bolts holding the brake line/wheel speed sensor wiring on the knuckle.  The exact method will vary depending on the year of your Sonata.
9.  Press the wheel hub out of the bearing.
10.  Remove the bearing retaining clip.
11.  Press the bearing out of the knuckle.
12.  Press the new bearing into the knuckle.
13.  Install a new retaining clip.
14.  Press the hub into the bearing.
15.  Reinstall the knuckle, rotor, and caliper.
16.  Reinstall the wheel and tighten the lug nuts.
17.  Lower the vehicle.
18.  properly torque the lug nuts.
