Hyundai Repair: 2005 sonata headlights blowing out, beam headlights, low beam

Question
I have 2005 sonata that blows both low beam headlights at the same time. I just put a set in 10 months ago and they both just went again at the same time. What would cause this? I am careful not to touch the bulb when I put them in.

Answer
The bulb (H7) used in the Sonata seems to have a particularly short lifespan in whatever vehicle it's used.  This is across product lines to other manufacturers' vehicles as well.  As long as the voltage from your alternator isn't excessive-- it would trigger an air bag lamp if it were-- the problem is with the bulbs themselves.  Given the short lifespan of these bulbs, I'd recommending trying a brand different from what you used for the last replacements.
