Hyundai Repair: gas tank air filter, hundai accent, tank air

Question
how do you replace a gas tank air filter on a 2008 hundai
accent?

Answer
This filter is located near the top of the filler neck.  To replace, you'll need to remove the left rear wheel and fender liner to access the filler neck and filter.  Depending on the orientation of the filter, it may be necessary to remove the filler neck to remove the filter.

Unless you have a problem with the filter being clogged, I typically don't recommend doing this as maintenance.  It's labor-intensive to do, and the only symptoms you'll experience if it clogs would be a check engine lamp and perhaps difficulty filling the fuel tank.  Unless you drive in particularly dusty areas, clogging should be relatively infrequent.  The vast majority of cars I see never need this filter replaced.
