Hyundai Repair: 2004 xg350L code access door, initial acceleration, obd ii connector

Question
I have a code reader, but I can't get the little plastic access door off to plug it in and read the results. The car will occasionally just cut off during initial acceleration. Kind of dangerous in an intersection. More rarely, it will miss slightly. It starts right back up and goes, but I feel uncomfortable with having this happen to my wife. I was just wondering if any trouble codes could have been captured during this event, and if so, I hate to loose the information. Thanks, Frank

Answer
There is no access door to the OBD-II connector on this vehicle.  It is located under the driver's side of the dash to the right of the steering column.

Follow up with the trouble codes if there are any.  It's certainly possible that the ECM has stored codes related to the problem.
