Hyundai Repair: 05 sonata, crank shaft position sensor, shaft position

Question
my car tripped a code for the crank shaft position sensor and i replaced it and also timed my engine and my car isn't getting any spark and wont start any idea?

Answer
Presuming this is a four cylinder Sonata, you may have installed the sensor backward.  The sensor plate should ride inside the slot in the sensor.

Additionally, inspect the timing belt well.  Four cylinder Sonatas (2005 and older) are prone to timing belt failures.  Often, when the sensor fails, it seems to be because the timing belt teeth have begun to strip off and get caught against the sensor, breaking it.
