Hyundai Repair: Hyundai Accent a/c repair, hyundai accent, refrigerant charge

Question
Hi, I had a problem with A/C system of my Hyundai Accent GLS year of manufacturing 2000. I got it repaired with new compressor, it throws cool air now but during day time when the sun is on head, it does not cool the passenger area. Please help me out what else i had to replace or repair so that it cools the passenger area.

Answer
Since it was necessary to discharge and recharge the system to replace the compressor, the greatest likelihood is that the refrigerant charge isn't correct.  Of course, it's also possible there's a leak in the system somewhere and some of the refrigerant has leaked out.

Another possibility is that a heater control cable is damaged or out of adjustment, and the door regulating temperature doesn't fully move to block air from crossing the heater core.

It won't be possible to determine which of the above issues you have without physically examining the car.  Additionally, to properly check the amount of refrigerant, you'll need special equipment that I'd expect would only be found at repair facilities.  It'd be my recommendation to return to the shop that replaced the compressor to have them perform further diagnosis.
