I recently broke my driver side mirror on my car. How do i go about replace the mirror or do i have to replace to whole assembly?

Answer
Whether you need the whole mirror or just the glass depends on what's broken.  If just the glass is broken, you can replace the glass.  

The glass replaced by simply snapping out the old glass and snapping in the new.  Obviously, use caution when doing this, since snapping the old glass out can cause further breakage.

If you're replacing the entire mirror assembly, remove the cover at the base where it attaches to the door and then remove the three mounting screws.
