Hyundai Repair: 2000 Hyundai Accent, hyundai accent, oil pan

Question
I just purchased a 2000 Hyundai accent off a car garage, whom safetied for me, and last week i noticed a knocking in my engine, so i jacked up the front and noticed that i had been leaking engine oil. So i looked closer, and my entire oil pan is rotting/rotten, and that the exhaust piece hanging below the pan is rotten too. I was just wondering how much it is going to be to fix it if i do it myself versus paying someone to do it for me. Thanks, Dylan

Answer
You should expect to pay 2 to 3 hours labor to replace the oil pan and pipe.  As for the actual costs of the parts and labor, that will vary greatly not only with where you choose to have the repairs done but also with your geographic location.  Ultimately, you'll need to call a few places and ask for quotes to get an idea of what this will cost you.
