Hyundai Repair: transmission, transmission control module tcm, transmission control module

Question
hey there, i have found pieces of what seems to be a small broken bearing inside my 2001 Hyundai tiburon transmission. I have runned the car slowly and the gears shift smooth from 1-2 and 3-4, but only sometimes when i stop and go, I noticed the 3rd gear stuck so I have to shift downward to 1st gear manually and back to ¨D¨ but it does not run rough or make any weird or unusual noises, is it possible you know what this pieces are? whats the worst case scenario if i use the car like this?

Answer
Without seeing the pieces, I cannot tell you what they are.

The reason the transmission stays in third gear is that the transmission control module (TCM) has detected a problem and has put the transmission in failsafe (3rd gear only).  To determine the nature of the problem seen by the transmission, you'll need to retrieve the diagnostic trouble code(s) from the TCM.  This could be related to the pieces you've found or could be an entirely different issue.
