Hyundai Repair: 2.7L crank sensor change, crank sensor, negative terminal

Question
how to change 2002 2.7L crank sensor

Answer
For the average do-it-yourselfer, the following is probably the easiest for replacing the sensor:

1.  Disconnect battery negative terminal.
2.  Remove any engine under covers preventing access to the starter.
3.  Unbolt the front exhaust pipe from the front catalyst.
4.  Remove the cover from the starter.
5.  Remove the bolt holding the sensor in place, unplug the sensor, and remove.
6.  Install new sensor, secure with bolt, and plug in.
7.  Reinstall the cover on the starter.
8.  Reattach the exhaust pipe.
9.  Install the under cover(s).
10.  Reconnect the battery.
