Hyundai Repair: throttle sensor, hyundai xg350, fuel level sender

Question
I have a hyundai xg350 02' 6 CYL. How do you repair the trip gauge the one that tells you how many miles till empty? It stays at around 51 to 73 miles and fluctuates back and forth. My gas gauge is broken, could this have anything to do with it?

Answer
The fuel level sender in the fuel tank is responsible for the distance to empty reading in the trip computer and the reading given on the fuel gauge.  If both are reading improperly, the most likely cause is that the sender is faulty and needs to be replaced.

I see that the subject of this question is listed as "throttle sensor."  If there's an additional question relating to the throttle sensor that wasn't asked here, please follow up.
