Hyundai Repair: 2004 Sonata, keyless entry system, keyless entry system door lock

I lost my keys to my 2004 sonata and was wondering how to get around the alarm system. Was also wondering if I remove the fuse for the ETACS, Keyless entry system Door lock system, will that bypass the alarm and still let me start my car using the sub key.

Answer
You'll need a key.  Remote won't be necessary.  Presuming you have a key, follow the procedure below.

1.  Unlock the door, open it, get in, and shut the door.  (If armed, the alarm will sound when you open the door.)
2.  Turn the key to the start position just like you would when starting the car.  
3.  Release the key just like you would if the car had started.
4.  Wait 30 seconds.  (The alarm will stop sounding prior to the 30 seconds being completed.  Wait the entire 30 seconds.)
5.  Start the car.  The alarm should now be disarmed.  If the car doesn't start, return to step 2.
