Hyundai Repair: 2004 Santa fe, negative battery cable, low beams

my car is out of warranty but when in warranty, I always had to have my transmission module reset it is starting to hesitate when I take off again and sometimes it shifts a little hard can you tell me how to reset the module to see if that fixes it  Question # 2 my headlights wont work on dim only on bright my husband cant find fuse blown all interior lights work

Answer
1.  You can reset the transmission adaptive values by disconnecting the negative battery cable for at least ten seconds.  This will also clear any diagnostic trouble codes from the engine and transmission computers, so do this only after diagnosis has been made.  If your check engine lamp has come on, *do not* disconnect the battery cable.  This will prevent diagnosis.

2.  Most likely, the low beams are burned out.
