Hyundai Repair: Hyundai Accent Gear Shift Cable, hyundai accent, shift cable

I have a 1999 Hyundai Accent with a broken Gear Shift Cable?  I have called every parts dealer to get a replacement cable and all I am told is to call the local Dealer.  Is there any other place I can get this part?  I would rather have my heart removed with a spoon than step foot into this particular establishment.

If that's what everyone is telling you, then I'd say it's probably correct that you'll need to get it from the dealer.  You don't have to purchase from your local dealer if you don't like them.  You can go to another if you'd like.  Also, some sell parts over the internet.
