Hyundai Repair: check engine light is on, hyundai products, auto zone

my check engine light is on, went to auto zone and their machine said it was my control fan. And advice on how to fix this problem

Hi, Jim.  I know of no Hyundai products that have anything called a "control fan."  

The code reader at Auto Zone should have reported a five-digit code beginning with P.  If you can tell me what the actual code is (rather than what Auto Zone seems to erroneously believe it means), I can tell you what it means and help you troubleshoot it if necessary.

Additionally, if you can include the year and model of your vehicle, it'll help me provide specific information regarding what to test or repair.
