Hyundai Repair: Water Pump, timing belt replacement, paint expert

Question
I need to change the water pump on my 98 Tiburon. I believe I need to remove the time belt as well. Could you please give me instructions to replace them?

Thank you!

Jose

Answer
Hi Jose,
Sorry i cannot.  I signed on this website as an auto paint expert and do not know why i keep getting mechanic questions.  I do know that i paid for a timing belt replacement on my '97 Tiburon at the dealership and it cost me $450.00.  While they had it all open i could see the water pump and practically begged them to change water pump too but they all talked me out of it, saying they never have to change them, blah blah blah.  I could see if water pump went out that it would be necessary to do the timing belt job again. Sorry for the bad news, if you have a 2.0 motor like mine, you probably have all that going on.
