Hyundai Repair: 2000 hyundai, hyundai owners, rear defogger

Question
My 2000 hyundai's dashboard lights went out. Now my fan, my headlights and rear defogger aren't working. Doesn't appear to be the fuses...any idea? Thanks.

Answer
I signed up with this website as an expert auto painter. I am not a mechanic. However, reason i came to this website is my son and i have Tiburons doing similar things as your car. Since i have fielded a few questions from hyundai owners about similar. I suspect it is in a ground somewhere if your lights are blinking, working sometimes sometimes not. However it could be some circuit or circuit breaker or funky korean name for an auxiliary fuse system hyundai seems to also have.  My girlfriend had a mercury cougar with similar problem: they charged her $900.00 at an automotive electrical shop for repair and she had to take it back twice. I asked the hyundai dealer in Philipsburg NJ... he acted all stupid and said he never heard this to be a common Hyundai problem and that Hyundai does not keep track of common problems like Consumer's Digest magazine for reason being blah blah blah.  I think he was lying, trying to get me to bring car in for $90.00 evaluation charge to tell me my electrical system needs worked on. Please contact me back if you get any info and i will do the same to you since i am rather sure this is a common hyundai problem, one of us will eventually run into someone who knows something for less than $900.00, hopefully.
