Hyundai Repair: canister close valve, hyundai santa fe, emission control system

I recently had the check engine light come on in my 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe.  I received an error code P0442 indicating an evap emission control system small leak was detected.  Could you tell me where the canister close valve is located and how to replace it? Also is it is still possible to operate vehicle with this error code?

Your vehicle will operate normally with this code. But will not pass the smog check if you do not fix it. Canister close valve is located next to canister tank which is under the vehicle, in the center.Canister close valve is only one of many reasons to set that code.This code only tells us , system has a small leak but not the location of it.I think you should take your vehicle to a proffessional.
