Hyundai Repair: engin check light, hyundai coupe, code readers

I have a late 2001 y reg Hyundai Coupe 1.5i.(serviced in the last 3/4 days before) After putting fuel in the car and driving away the yellow engine check light on the dashboard lit up for a few minutes and then went out again. then lit up again does not went of  Any ideas as to what may have caused this? What does this warning light relate to? Many thanks.

Check engine light might be turned on by a lot of different conditions. Once it is on , it sets a code and stores that code in the control module. Since it happened after putting gas, you might left the gas cap loose. Make sure it is tight. If it is tight and still having the problem, you need to find a way to read the code. Most part stores have code readers and they read the codes for free. If you find out the code let me know, so I can help you more.
