it fist happened one week ago, car stalled then couln't start, a garage test drived and said there was noise in alternator, asked me to send to dealer for diagnosis
. after checking, dealer told me a bolt in alternator was missing, they replaced it(they also changed thermostat, said there was overheating). we chose to change the timing belt at the same time. we picked it up Thursday, and drived several time in last two days, everything was fine.
But today same thing happened again, car stalled and couldn't start.

1. first the car is a little shaking,
2. there is noise when braking , it get worst and worst, big noise not only when braking but also when making turn.
3. the car begain stalled, then finally couldn't start.
4. some burning smell from the hood.

I towed the car to the dealer again.please tell me what might be the problem, can changing timing belt costs the same problem? the car was towed 3 times in a week, I am really worried. really appreciate your help.

Answer
Hello Shushen,
I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Hyundai. After I read your email , some questions came to my mind; Did you ever have late to start problem?
Did they replace the whole alternator or just installed the missing bolt?
Did they perform Battery/Starter/Charging test?
Do you have your check engine light on?
Did you notice any wet spot on or around the engine/transmission?
Do you hear any hissing or whistle noise when it is idleing?
Did you feel any abnormality at your brake pedal like too much play or spongy feeling?
What kind of noise do you hear while turning?
