Oil started spraying out of the crank seal of my 2003 Elantra GT ( 2.0L) as I was driving up the highway. My mechanic replaced the crank seal and timing belt but when he turned the car on the oil started spraying out of the new crank seal within seconds.

It sounds like you have a crack on the seal seat.Did mechanic inspect the seat and front case while replacing the seal?Also , another common mistake is to damage the new seal during installation. I think your only option is to have seal removed and area inspected again.
