Hyundai Repair: central locking, hyundai accent, worrying thing

Question
Hi. The doors on my year 2000 Hyundai Accent 1.5-cdx (UK) with remote central locking, open & close as I'm driving along.
It happens almost every time I drive the car, the doors will all suddenly lock for no reason. Pulling the lock handle back out results in the doors just locking themselves again. The worrying thing is sometimes I can't open the cars doors & if I hold the locking handle out the doors go into a spasm of very rapidly opening & closing. I have to wait till this stops before I can get out.
Btw, the car has remote central locking but this doesn't work, the fob is ok so the problem must be the receiver
Any help gratefully received.

Answer
Since the remote locking isn't working, you should probably not rule out the key fob.  Although the LED is a good sign that the fob is operating normally, that doesn't guarantee anything.  I've seen instances where defective or damaged fobs caused the locks or alarm to behave erratically.

Also, consider the inputs to the system.  Each front door lock actuator sends a signal to the ETACM (electronic time and alarm control module) as to whether the door is locked/unlocked.  If the signal sent is in error (an intermittently open or shorted switch in the actuator), this could cause the ETACM to continue to try to lock the doors.
