Hyundai Repair: 2001 sonata v6 gls, cranks, grandmothers

my check engine light is on i had it scanned error code p0306 misfire cylinder#6 sometimes it wont crank it will turn over .i come back later and it cranks.the car was my grandmothers and it sat for quite awhile occassionaly beeing ran .car has 41171 miles

Hi, Timothy.  Usually, a misfire on one cylinder won't make the car not run, and should never make the starter not turn the engine.  

The following has me a little confused: "sometimes it wont crank it will turn over .i come back later and it cranks."  "Cranks" and "turn over" both imply that the starter is running and turning the engine.  So, to help me understand what's happening, please give let me know whether the starter turns the engine when you attempt to start it.  I'm presuming the engine only sometimes starts.
