Hyundai Repair: Sonata and KIA Optima interchange, kia optima, sonata

I have a 2000 Sonata and it was broken into by just breaking the back window and then my front windows wire that makes it go up and down just broke. I heard that KIA Optima and Sonata's have interchangeable parts. i was wondering if that was true because i found a window with a regulator that was off a 2001 Optima would that work on my sonata?

Kia had the same issues with regulator cracking and breakage that Hyundai did, and the doors seem to be the same shape, so my instinct is that the regulators are indeed the same as long as they're for the same door.  It's probably at least worth a try.

I don't have access to the Kia parts catalog without a VIN, so I cannot provide general answers.  But if you can give me the vin from the Optima (or any 2001 Optima for that matter), I can probably find out for certain.
