Question
we are having trouble connecting a new HYUNDAI Excel 92 liquid line..its new from dealer..it has a spring lock Ford-type connector..we put the new line on, but we can still pull it out by hand..is this correct? The spring does not seem to go over the flared end on the EVAPORATOR...the new line came with new orings and a new spring..please advise..also, how do u know if the SPRING iis locked in correctly? I hate to remove the new line again.it connects under the resonator and is had to get at..any help; much appreciated! Please respond asap!

Answer
If you can pull it back out, the line is not inserted fully.  Normally, you can hear a snap when the line is fully inserted.  Also, new lines typically have a plastic ring around the garter spring fitting.  When the lines are properly installed together, the ring should snap away from the fitting.  You may need to take some things back apart to get this to fit together properly.  Usually, twisting the line helps keep it straight and encourage full insertion.
