Hyundai Repair: timing belts, timing belts, timing belt

Question
I recently changed my timing belt, I double check my work and start my motor, it has a idles not too bad but the motor is jumping a bit and just does not want to plain out normal I changed the spark plugs, but other than that I don't know, could it bend the valves how do I check that if. If I have low compression would the engine still start, what happens if I have low compression would that make the engine act un-normal maybe this is the result I don't really know rite now, just need some advice thanx

Answer
Hi, Barry.  Before we get too far into checking things, I'd like to get some information from you so I have a better idea of how we arrived at this situation and, of course, the likely causes.

1.  Please give me the year and model of your car as well as the engine size.
2.  Was this problem present prior to replacing the timing belt?
3.  Was this problem present immediately after replacing the timing belt?
4.  Can you tell whether the engine is misfiring?
5.  Is your check engine lamp on?
6.  Was there a problem with your old timing belt, or did you replace it as regular maintenance?
