Hyundai Repair: 2001 XG 300, noise issues, lof

Question
I did an LOF, After I took the car aroun the block, I developed a chirping noise coming from the engine. It changes with engine RPM's but it's not heard @ idle. After the engine warms up it takes higher RPMS to make it happen. What should I look for? the car has 53k and runs very well.
It sound like a bearing, But I have no clue. Idler, water pump, alternator. The surp belt seems to be fine. I tride some belt dressing just to rule out that area of sound. Please advise. Thanks

Answer
Realistically, this could be just about anything inside the engine or driven by the engine.  While the noise is occurring, take a long screwdriver and probe various components of and driven by the engine.  Place your ear on the other end of the screwdriver.  The noise will be the loudest when you're closest to the item making the noise.

You may want to clean the belt dressing off the belts.  This tends to cause more noise issues than no dressing at all.  If the noise changed when you applied the dressing, you should suspect that the noise is coming from one or both belts.
