Hyundai Repair: Hyundai sonata 2005, hog ring pliers, hyundai sonata 2005

Question
QUESTION: Two questions:
1)  How do you remove the seat (in this case, driver's side seat, leather) to replace the air bag inside it?  How much time will it take?
2)  I tried to adjust the headlight assy aiming on a 2005 Sonata.  Shop manual shows FOUR adjustment screws.  I see only two.  Supposed to be two adjustment screws each for high beam and for low beam.  Mine has only two adjustment screws (one on top by the high beam, one on the bottom by the low beam).  What gives?
ANSWER: 1.  You'll need to remove the seat cover from the upper portion of the seat.  If you're unable to access the area where the fabric is brought together at the bottom of the seat back, you'll need to remove the seat and remove the seat back from the seat assembly.  You'll find that the fabric is held in place by metal hog rings.  It'll be very difficult for you to put the seat cover back correctly once you have it off unless you have special hog ring pliers.

I've never needed to replace one of these air bags, so I cannot say how long it will take for certain.  You should probably plan on at least a few hours.

2.  One of the screws adjusts the headlamp beam left/right, and the other adjusts the beam up/down.  There are only two screws.  The left/right adjustment screw should have a cover over it.  Because of the headlamp beam pattern, it's not necessary to adjust the beam left/right under normal circumstances.

QUESTION: Why does the dumb Sonata shop manual show an incorrect number (two and two)?!!  It's frustrating when you can't even rely on the SHOP MANUAL for this year of car!
Hey, your excellent replies are WELL appreciated (and obviously not found in the shop manual!)  Thanks again!

Answer
I'm really no fan of the Hyundai shop manuals.  There are many errors, and only a small fraction of them ever get corrected through the issuance of a technical service bulletin.  But since it's the best thing we have available, it's what we deal with.
