Hyundai Repair: 2005 accent, wheel cylinders, pa state inspection

Question
I have 31,000 miles on this car and it needed both rear wheel cylinders replaced to pass Pa. state inspection.
Is this normal wear ??????
Also all 4 tires ( original equipment) are shot !!
Are these all cheap parts installed on this car ??

Thanks, Tom

Answer
Needing wheel cylinders at 31,000 miles isn't normal wear.  While I've seen some cases where wheel cylinders were needed at similar mileages, the vast majority of 2000-2005 Accents (similar to yours) have no wheel cylinder problems.

Original tires are a crapshoot.  Some are good quality, others aren't, even on the same model.  Some cars will come with Michelin, others Bridgestone, some Kumho, and even others Hankook.

I expect you'll find that most of the parts on your car are of good quality.  If you haven't done so already, you should change the coolant (every 2 years), replace the spark plugs (every 30,000 miles), and check the transmission fluid.  If the transmission fluid is in poor condition, you should replace that as well.
