Hyundai Repair: 2006 Azera, 2006 azera, kent moore

l.  Size of cap on oil filter canister and Hyundai part number for this tool.  2. Does the 06 Azera have a transmission oil filter?

Answer
1.  I don't know the size of the oil filter cap wrench.  It has an odd number of sides, so I'm not sure how it's measured.  To my knowledge, it's a different size from everything else that currently exists, and there are not wrenches yet in the aftermarket tool world.

The special tool number is 09263-3C100.  The part is available only from the tool supplier, not from Hyundai, so if the dealer gets one for you, it'll probably cost siginficantly more than if you can purchase it from Kent-Moore directly.  The Kent-Moore website is www.spxkentmoore.com.

2.  There's a transmission filter inside the transmission that isn't intended to be serviced (and requires disassembling the transmission to access).  For all practical purposes, there is no filter.
