Hyundai Repair: rear noise hyundai accent 2000, hyundai accent 2000, hyundai accent

Question
Hello. I've just bought a 2000 hyundai accent (3 doors), I bought it from a dealer with one-year warranty. Every time I pass over a bumper the rear part makes a winki-winki noise, as if the shocks or the suspension needed oil or something. I didn't heard the noise when a tested the car 'cos we didn't pass any bumper then. Should I replace the shocks? how much would be the cost of the repair aprox.(I guess the warranty does not cover suspension)? Thank you very much for your time

Answer
I did a quick check of techncial service bulletins and didn't find anything that was related.  I'd recommend having the car checked prior to replacing the shocks.  The noise could be coming from just about any component in the rear suspension, not necessarily the shocks.

Once the culprit is identified, you can then check pricing.  Do this by calling several places in your area.  Prices vary greatly by geographic location, so I'll be unable to give you accurate pricing, whatever the necessary repair may be.
