Hyundai Repair: accent 2003 hood release, hood latch, release lever

Question
I pull the lever under the steering wheel and cant get the hood to "pop".  Now what?  

Answer
First, check to see if the cable is attached to the release lever.  If not, you'll need to reattach it.

If the cable is attached, have someone else attempt to lift the hood while you hold the lever out.  

If the other person isn't able to get the hood to release, you'll need to manually open the hood latch by accessing either through the grille or from under the vehicle.  You should expect this to be quite difficult to do, and you may need a professional to do it for you.
