Hyundai Repair: Top Brake Light / Horn -- 2000 Elantra GLS, phillips screw, lamp assembly

Question
The first part of my question is how do I replace the top break bulbs in my 2000
Elantra?  The second part is, My horn is not working,  I have checked all fuses,
this occurred not too long after my stereo was stolen,  the wiring harness was
cut and it also blew the dimmer for the navigation lights, got that part fixed but
the horn is still baffling me?  Thank you

Answer
Presuming you have a 4-door sedan, you'll need to remove the trim covers from the sides of the lamp assembly.  Behind each will be a #3 Phillips screw.  Remove the screws and remove the entire lamp assembly to access the bulb.

The most common issue with horns not working is the horn itself.  Unplug your horn and install a test lamp into the connector.  Have someone else press the horn button while you hold the test lamp in place.  If the lamp lights, the horn itself is bad.
