Hyundai Repair: 2003 tiburon gt, spark plug, valve cover

Question
Hi, I asked a question regarding my tiburon gt on the 29 march 2007.  I have tryed all the things that you suggested, but still having the same problem.  The compression on the front 3 cyldiners is is 120 PSI once first started but then dropes to 90 PSI aftewards.  I switched #2 and #4 injrctors but still no change.  I sprayed carb cleaner around the intake manifold and the motor did not idle up or down.
if you have anymore suggestions please tell me
Also when the car is cold it works extreamly bad, but once it has warmed up it runs a little better.

Answer
Have you determined whether you're getting spark to the plug?  If not, you need to do this.  Looking back at my original answer, the method I proposed fails to address two potential problems.  First, the wire could be arcing only when in the plug tube.  Second, the plug itself could be misfiring.

To check whether the wire is arcing inside the tube, pull the wire off the number two plug and just set it back on the plug without snapping it into place.  Then start the engine.  Then gradually pull the wire off the plug.  You should be able to hear the arcing as you pull the wire off the plug.  The spark should be coming out the end of the wire boot to either the plug or the side of the tube.  If it comes out the side, you need a new plug wire.

To verify that the spark plug is good, you can either swap it with another (preferably #6 since you moved the injector to #4) and see if the misfire moves to the other cylinder.  If it moves, then there's a problem with the plug.  You could also take that spark plug out, place it back into the wire, and lay it on the valve cover like I recommended with my previous answer.  If the plug doesn't spark, you have a spark plug problem.

Also, when you switched the injectors, did the misfire move to the #4 cylinder or stay with the #2 cylinder?
