Hyundai Repair: valve body, hyundai accent, valve body

Question
I have a Hyundai accent model 2000 automatic, my problem is that when switch on the car and start to drive, it response too slow and I feel that it start move at the third gear (don't start with the 1st and then the 2nd) and the RPM indicator increase and the motor sound is high and then it move normally.
I took my car to the service and they can't fix it and don't know where is the problem.
So can you help me what is the problem is the problem in the valve body and I should replace it or in the sensors in the valve body or what is exactly the problem.
Thank you.

Answer
Since the transmission is stuck in third gear, the transmission control is either not operating (perhaps blown fuse or TCM issue, both rare) or the TCM has detected a problem with the transmission causing it to put the transmission into failsafe (3rd gear only).

The first step to finding the nature of the problem is to have the diagnostic trouble codes in your TCM read.  AutoZone and AAMCO have advertised they'll do this for free.
