Hyundai Repair: engine check light, hyundai sonata, obd ii

Question
QUESTION: I have a Hyundai Sonata 2001 ( 2.4L dohc), my engine check light stay on after i've started the car. I'm short on cash too, so what can i do to resolve this problem??
( How do i get the code/ where? )
ANSWER: AutoZone and AAMCO have advertised that they'll read diagnostic trouble codes for no charge.  I'd recommend taking the car to one of these places and have them read the engine and transmission trouble codes for you.  Make sure you get the code numbers from them.  Although their scan tool will display a definition for the code, it may not be correct.  Once you have the code numbers, follow-up with them here and I'll give you advice on how to diagnose/repair the problem.

QUESTION: i use an Auto Scanner OBD II (CP9135) and got a P0302 code(cylinder 2 misfire). How can i solve this problem, how did this also happen just when I've just replaced the pluges + wires?

Answer
Since you've just replaced the plugs and wires, the first thing to do is verify that the check engine lamp and code aren't present from a now repaired condition that was occurring prior to your working on the vehicle.

Is your vehicle running poorly?
Does your check engine lamp flash on/off or does it stay on steady?
Was your check engine lamp on or flashing prior to your replacing the spark plugs and wires?

If the answers to the above suggest that the problem was present prior to repair and no longer present now, then you probably should clear the trouble code and check to see whether the lamp returns.
