Hyundai Repair: 2002 hyundai elantra 4 door blower motor resistor, blower motor resistor, hyundai elantra

Question
The heat & A/C blower fan only blows on high speed 4 and intermittent on position 3. Speed 1 and 2 does not blow at all. I suspect the blower motor resistor is bad. Where is it located and how do I check it? Thank you!!

Answer
You're probably correct that the blower resistor is the problem.

The blower resistor is located in the bottom of the blower box behind the right side of the dash.  You should be able to see it by looking under the dash.  It'll have four wires in its connector: one white, one white/black, one red/white, and one blue/white.

Make a note of the locations of the white and white/black wires.  Unplug the resistor and check the resistance between the two pins on the resistor where these wires were attached.  You should have significant resistance, but not an open circuit.  If you have an open circuit, the resistor is defective.
