Hyundai Repair: ABS/TLC WARNING LIGHTS HYUNDAI 2000, traction control system, warning lights

Question
AS SOON AS THE CAR IS AT ITS NORMAL TEMPERATURE WHEN DRIVING, THE ABS AND TLS WARNING LIGHTS GO ON AND OFF ALMOST ALL THE TIME, SOMETINES EVEN THE BRAKES ONE.
MY CAR WAS AT THE DEALER AND THEY DIDN'T TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT THAT PROBLEM WHEN THE COMPUTER CODES WERE READ.
IS IT A MATTER OF THE SENSORS, OR WHAT?
PLEASE HELP BEFORE TAKING THE CAR TO THE DEALER AGAIN..$$$
THANK YOU

Answer
The ABS (antilock brake system) or TCS (traction control system) lamp staying on indicates a problem with the ABS or TCS system.  The TCS lamp flashing indicates that the TCS system is attempting to control wheel spin.

To find out the problem, the first step is to read the codes in the ABS and TCS systems.  It could be an issue with a sensor, but there are many possible issues.

Depending on why you had taken the car to the dealer and whether the ABS/TCS lamps were on when you took it there, they may not have known to look for codes in the ABS/TCS systems.  For example, if you took it in for a check engine lamp, and the ABS/TCS lamps were not on, the technician would ordinarily have no reason to check for codes, nor any reason to suspect there were any present.
